Well i put off the 90 for the time being and decided to work on this project for now.  This is what i have done so far: holes drilled, overflow done, stand put together.  I hope to have plumbing done tonight and do a water test a few hours after that.  Lighting will be 250W 20k DE MH and 2 36" T5HO giessman pure actinic bulbs.  Skimmer will be octopus 250 needle wheel.  Sump will be a 40 gallon long eventually, I'll be using my 20L temporarily until i baffle out the 40L.  I plan to make a fuge/frag/skimmer tank out of the sump.

Woot did my first ever pvc solvent welding, anyone else think this is really fun?  Maybe it was just the fantastic fumes but i enjoyed it lol.

    I think he thinks 2 40s and a 20 make a 90 :)

that would be kinda cool ;D

Yeah the hex was cool but it didn't give me enough ground space, the breeder is 6" longer just not as tall.  I'm thinking about setting up the hex again also and keeping the two 20Ls going lol.  I always wanted a 120, it will be great!

Thanks Shane! i was pretty bummed about losing it, I was looking forward to seeing it grow up in the new tank.

Going to run the display sump-less for a few days until the sump silicone is fully cured, and i plan on doing the water test Friday evening.  I tossed in a bunch of my rock in the display so i still have to do some scaping but the water is still a bit cloudy from the sand so I'm waiting a bit.  Also check out my cool makeshift PVC MH holder lol, it's temporary until i can build a canopy and add my retro T5s along side it.  I used gobs of silicone on the sump since I'm using acrylic baffles and silicone really doesn't like acrylic too much.

Anyway here are the latest progress pics:

If for some wierd reason your silicone doesn't hold – I used E6000 on my sump, and just silicone to make it watertight, and there is no way those are coming out! You can get it at Joanne's fabrics – maybe the other craft stores too, I just know I saw it there :)

Ohhh – and YAY! hard plumbing :)
